kirschblute is an independent infrastructure and security practice. We design, build, and operate production systems for small teams, startups, and established organisations.

What we believe

Security is part of system design and day-to-day operation. We prefer established technology, few moving parts, and documentation that remains useful after the work is finished.

Performance

We investigate performance across applications, operating systems, storage, and networks. That includes finding bottlenecks, establishing capacity requirements, and checking that the system behaves as expected under load.

Design

We design around your requirements and existing estate. Budget, available space, security, compliance, performance, and the experience of your in-house team all affect the result. Systems should be straightforward to operate, troubleshoot, and change.

How we work

You work directly with the engineers doing the work. The same people scope the project, make the changes, document them, and support the system in production. We agree the scope, timescale, and deliverables in plain language before work begins.

Who we are

Our backgrounds cover systems administration, network security, and software development. We have spent years running production infrastructure and helping other teams operate theirs.

Our staff maintain certifications across Red Hat, Cisco, and Microsoft technologies.
